Network adaptation and optimization Floating IP vs. Fixed IP

The option to use floating IP compared to the traditional fixed IP makes it easier to establish a cross-regional management system while reducing costs.

Smooth Streaming

Hikvision’s smooth streaming technology automatically adjusts the bit rate and resolution under low data rates to ensure a smooth live view. This is especially useful for banks since there is often only limited bandwidth available. With smooth live-streaming, the system adapts the data processing mechanism to solve latency and mosaic problems caused by packet loss or error codes.

H.265 and H.265+ Codec

H.265 is the most advanced industry-standard compression codec. Hikvision added to H.265 its own compatible algorithm, creating the “H.265+” codec to further optimize compression and transmission. H.265+ codec technology can vastly decrease the bandwidth and storage requirements. Cut approximately 75% off of the storage required by the H.265 codec.

Alarm Management

A comprehensive alarm center module displays alarm lists, GIS information, and up 16 video streams of video surveillance simultaneously on-screen.

Alarm Escalation

Alarm escalation takes place when the primary operator does not respond. An unprocessed alarm will be forwarded and escalated to upper level management when the original operator ignores.

Alarm Response via Mobile App
Using the mobile app, authorized personnel can check video feeds and alarms any time, anywhere. The app enables remote inspection, so top management can review alarms from their mobile devices to get first-hand information for smart, nimble operations.
